Hii friends..these days most of the movies come in x265 , 10 bit format ...
Usually MX player plays all the video formats but it has stuttering issues with x265 .. did anyone else noticed it??
I then installed VLC but it won't help ..
Any suggestions ???
I was most of movies in my phone .,,...thanks

Way better than VLC and plays is smoothly.
Also, on phone try Kodi.
MX player won't be able to handle unless you have a beefy SoC.

I think we are talking here about mobile media players.

And obviously MPC-HC with MadVR will outnumber any other media players. :)

What is your Mobile model ?
Yes, x265 required powerful CPU to decode the movies, bcoz of high compression ratio.
just google for x265 supported mobile CPUs and u will get it.

I think that x265 is good for HDTV and Desktops and not for Mobile viewing, bcoz it will eat most of your battery.
x264 is better for mobile viewing.

OP's phone is Mi3 which has SD801. According to Qualcomm, it supports x265 (source: Snapdragon 801 Mobile Processor with Quad-Core CPUs | Qualcomm). I doubt Xiaomi enabled that in the stock rom (like they disable QC in the mid range phones)

Thanks for the correction.
@OP, you have to either stick with the choppy videos in current phone or switch to one with has native x265 support.
