Well I have a Intel D915GAV motherboard P4 3Ghz machine running Win Xp pro with 512 MB of DDR 400Mhz, 160 GB Samsung SATA HDD.

Now the Pinnacle PC Tv Pro card has huge compatibility problem with Win Xp SP2. Now I have to format and reinstall windows all over again with Sp 1 and Zone Alrm Pro .

I want to install the sp2 again, since without it internet surfing is horrible. There are incessant attacks at all vulnerabillities and even the zone alarm pro firewall can't prevent all. So can i use the pctc pro with pctv vision software 2.76 with Win Xp sp2 ? if yes pls tell me how and where to get the drivers from.

Can i use any other 3rd party tv viewer like Power vcr or like . Please tell me which version would work with sp2 .

The Pc tv vision software works fine, but the sytem picture (graphics and provided by Intel GMA 900 and Intel Hi-Definition Audio respectively) hangs and only the sound remains fine.

I have configured the audio settings for my creative 5.1 to 6 channel audio. Since there are no other sockets left , so i had to unplug the rear speaker jack to accomodate the pctv line in (external) .So as now i have effective 3.1 channel audio while viewing tv . Is there a way to resolve it ?

well the following worked for me
and would safely suggest are the best
WinDVR
Chris TV

but a 3rd party tool will not support the pinnacle remote
but Chris Tv can be made to work with a small tweak
well i have a PCTV Stereo that has a philips chipset
so it isnt supported by Power VCR so dunno much abt this
but chris tv is a very good tool
simple and good
and about vision you said you are using ver 2.76
well ver 2.80 is released so do get it from thier site

Yes, That's right there exists a Patch or kind of new driver for the device... Search it on Pinnacle site, I used that driver a year ago...
And it is really pity that Pinnacle is shipping the same old driver which doesn't work.
