I'm not pointing towards buying S4 GPE, but the person who is gonna buy already has an S4, which according to me is better than N5, hardware-wise(better cam, screen, battery life, compact 5" device etc...). I would anyday day get an S4 over N5, if given a choice....

Nexus 4, 5, Optimus G, G Pro, G2, G Pro 2, G3. Each and every phone is somewhat different in design and hardware wise and way better than any samdung phone launched in that same price bracket.
Samdung launched 52 android phones and 27 tablets in 2014 and its still November. Guess how many of those will get anything beyond kitkat (10 phones and 2 tablets of those are stuck with JB

You must be below 18, well I don't care much. Yes, one should go for Motorola, if someone wants a VFM product. LG falls nowhere, not VFM nor premium, I mean far from it. LG phones can't even have a strong network, including Nexus 5 and their latest flagship called G3 or whatever. Below average display, case cracking issues, weak signal issue and what not. I am a developer by the way, and I own a Hammerhead, so it's becoming even more laughable to me, cause I know how LG phones' internals are. I just don't have the money, that's why I could not afford an S4 GPE or an M8 GPE. As soon as I have the chance I will move without even thinking for a second.

samsung has the worst service centres ive ever seen,the staff is rude and arrogant in each service centre which ive visited and the people who come there are regulars apparently
Sony has wayyy better quality than samsung,ive yet to even take any of my sony products for service ,the products last very long(dunno about tablets and phones)

this is coming from someone(me) who has bought nearly all samsung products in his house in the past and regreted it quickly and replaced all the faulty products with other brands such as sony and hitachi

you would have understood the short comings of samsungs exynos and poor touchwiz UI instead of raving on about how "superior" samsung is

Samsung is alive because they make quality products which are bought all over the world, and will be continued for a while too, by intelligent people mostly. No one really cares about what product some minority prefers.I don't think I need to say anything about this part. Just more comedy.

All my family members, relatives, friends use Samsung, all of them, yes some of them had to visit SC (even for nonsense cause), and no one has ever complained about them. Yes, they are not very educated (personal experience, but that's applicable for ALL service centres) but they get the job done, and that's what matters. While my personal experience with Sony has been awful, the mobile store next to my home doesn't stock HTCs any more because of service issues, Motorola? That's a LOL. What's left? LG. Never had to visit SC, so can't say.

Samsung phones are very much durable, durability was never an issue in to any significant extent with Samsung phones. Note 3 is one of the toughest phone out there. Closed source? LOL. You sure don't posses the minimum idea about coding. We use to avoid Exynos chipset, because it's more time consuming and tough to code for Exynos. That's the only reason we opt for Snapdragons, period. Technically Exynos is a better chip than SD.

There are no shortcomings of Exynos as I said, it's a great chip, and Samsung is the best chip maker out there too. Just because we prefer something else doesn't make it a bad/inferior product, it's our problem to be quite honest, we are being lazy that's all.

Samsung's only real flaw is their software, TouchWiz i.e. (LG's software isn't any great at all, there are a lot of problems with G3's stock ROM, compilation of some part was simply horrendous, so much so that I gave up on it!). Then again there are a lot of people who prefer that, features. I personally obviously don't like that, but that's my preference, again. That's how people should decide about a product, I mean the product which has less flaws should be the one to aim for, and that's where Samsung falls, along with HTC (but they have QC issues, along with their awful after sales service ), and that's why people buy them, and that's why they are leading in smartphone sales race, and that's why one could/should recommend them over something else quite easily.
My last phone was the Nexus 4, before that the Xperia Z, and before that the Galaxy Nexus. So I have had one Samsung phone in past four years! Commenting the above won't credit zero rupee in my bank account either. You don't need to own a BMW/Jag to know they make quality cars, it's common and simple knowledge. The problem is with peoples snobbish mind to get a rather simple point.
