ok listen , out of the 800 and 900 series .. the 900 is much better .. as it is a presler core cpus with 65 nm fab process with large 4 mb L2 caches ..

they perform much better than 800 series and dont heat like 800 series .. i mean they run relatively pretty cool ..

now there's a catch .. there is a new 805 pentium d .. which is 2.66 ghz 533 fsb with total 2 mb cache buffer dual core cpu .. its like 6.5 k in price and performs good too .. and its overclocks well too ..u can go for it if short on budget '

also 920 .. 2.8 ghz 800 fsb 4 mb L2 cache is damn good .. performs well and overclocks very well .. 13.5 k or something ..

A dual core CPU for 6.5k ... that means two different cpu cores each running at 2.66Ghz ...good deal i guess

Does anyone has a better idea of the prices of 830 and 930.And i have heard of heating issues with both the 8xx and 9xx series.Which one is better in that case. And if put Against AMD X2 3800+(Manchester) Which is the better choice. My budget for the Processor is 10-12k max.

Both of the cores heat up quite a lot, however 930 heats up less then 830 is simply a furnace

but Athlon64 3800+ X2 doesn't heat that much, even at full load.

But i guess x2 costs a bomb when compared to intel 930. the last time i checked the price of x2 it was around 25k

Fine just seen the updated site of deltapage..The x2 3800+ costs 16k. good price drop

BTW delta page has been finally updated after a month but there is one thing thats pissed me off. This mobo gigabye k8n51gmf9 now costs 3750. I purhcased the same at 5k just two months off.
Sorry if i went off topic..just couldnt stop

Have a read through this -

I think you should just wait for AMD X2 3800's to drop a bit more.

Cheers,
