Owners of TCL QLED TVs, can you please answer my queries?

Thought of buying TCL QLED TV in the ongoing Diwali sale, but after visiting the local Croma and Reliance Digital stores, I am left with mixed feelings. So, I thought it would be better to ask existing owners regarding the following -

  1. Brightness : this is my biggest concern, tbh. In a side-by-side comparison with LG/Sony/Samsung, the display on TCL QLED looked dim/dull/washed out. I checked the brightness setting and it was on max! What is your experience? Are you satisfied with the brightness settings? Does increasing Gamma / any other setting result in improved brightness and colors??
  2. 'Old' model : One of the salesmen said C655 models are "old," i.e., launched in 2023. Given that 2024 will end in two months, this model will be two years old soon. Should I be concerned about it? Does it impact anything in the long term?
  3. 43-in vs 55-in : is the panel quality overall better in the 55-in model?
  4. online vs offline purchase : which is better, in your opinion? also, from what I understood, model C61B is Amazon-only, while C655 is available in offline stores. Are they of the exact same specifications?
  5. Use case : I will primarily use this for Gaming on PC, eventually on PS5 Pro. Can you share your gaming experience in terms of input lag, motion blur etc?
Please share your thoughts and comments. Thank you!

In general, TCL is an easy no in India as they bring poor quality products here unlike USA. IMO the biggest sale of the year was 1 month back, so you missed it.

IMO just get Sony X74L or Bravia 2 55" for watching videos, if still under 50k, it is enough for most people. Bigger screen size is indeed better. For something cheaper, get Vu or Xiaomi or Hisense 55" 4K.

Hisense has 120Hz TVs, will be marketed as 240Hz. These will be easily better than other options for gaming.
