Seed is the Life!!
The Record: 5,112 MHz with a Core 2 Quad Q6600 (2.4 GHz). That frequency was validated, but the team actually managed to attain 5,124 MHz (not validated).

In addition to the DFI motherboard and the Intel processor, the configuration had one 1 GB DIMM of DDR2 memory and a Geforce 8800 GTS 512 MB graphics card.

^This is the Q6600 oc record and not the overall highest clock record
and i have not seen non extreme 45nm Q's going this far.but nehalems really kick all proccy's *** :D

its unstable above 3.5ghz and starts heating up if more vcore is supplied.
the max OC i've seen so far is this

which is sub-zero :|
nowhere near Q9450 or Q6600

+ i dont understand the concept of using just 1 or 2 cores and disabling others for such OC's..can someone explain?
