I have configured OE to receive mails from Gmail. But after receiving mails and opening and deleting some of them, the deleted and opened mails are still present in Gmail when I open it. whatever mails I open or delete, should not be in Gmail. How to do this? Anybody have any idea?

Yep. You can do that.
>Open OE
>Tools>Accounts
>Mail tab
>Select your Gmail account >Properties
>Advanced tab
>Uncheck "Leave a copy of messages on server"
>Click OK
Now all the mails will be in your Outlook Express.

G mail does not work that way, there are 2 options in gmail,

1. either you just download a copy of your mail from the gmail - leaving the original mail in the gmail, archived, or
2. move the mail entirely to your system - then there would not be any mail on your gmail account any more,

I don't think you can sync between your gmail and oe to have the same mails, it doesn't work in POP3 I guess. It works in IMAP servers though.....

correct me if i am wrong

You can route your emails in gmail to outlook express. For that in the Gmail account go to settings and click on forwarding and pop and enable POP download.

@kiran_tech_mania
we can do the same in gmail also. in the forwarding and pop tab there is a second option called "when messages are accessed with POP" we had to just select "delete gmail's copy". Moreover there is slight error in your reply. We have to tick the option "leave a copy of the message on the server" and tick the option "remove from server when deleted from "deleted items". Thank you for your reply. It is your reply that gave me all these ideas.

I don't have Outlook Express configured to gmail. Hence couldn't give you exact procedure. I posted what I remembered....
Nice to hear that it helped you solving your problem.

My outlook express when pressed send/download only download 1 message, which leads me to download my messages one by one. How can i increase download limit of my messages for example to download 25 messages each time i click on send/receive. I am using Window xp media centre edition version 2002 Service pack2.
