Outlook Express 6 problems

Hi

My friend is having some problem with Outlook Express 6. He uses it to recieve his sify mails. He recently installed ZoneAlarm Free and Avast AV. However, he kept getting error message, when trying to recieve mail. So, I added Outlook to ZoneAlarm trusted zone. Now, however, when he presses Send/Receive, he starts receiving all his older messages! Outlook is downloading about 2550 messages all over again! Can anyone help me here

Go to the mail providers home page -> Log in -> Go to POP3 settings and select the option download mails which I now recieve.

This works for Gmail. Some such option will be there in Sify too. Else contact the provider for help.
