ICE COOOOL!!!
Hello. I have Dell Inspiron N5030 Laptop with Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit operating system. But i didnt get OS DVD other than Driver and Utility with it! So if ever my OS goes wrong and if i'll have to format it, I will lose the original OS that came with my Laptop. So is there any way to copy the original OS into a disk so that i can use that dvd to format the system so that it would be genuine?

change is constant!!
u have to create image of the cdrive. it depends on the size of the cdrive used.
move your personal data(if any) from cdrive to other drive.

then create a image of cdrive using imaging software and save it to a file to other drive.

if u have seagate or maxtor HDD then its freely available from seagate
some free imaging software

With Win7, you can create a recovery disc to ensure that you can restore your OS in case of corrupt harddisk, etc... See Create a system recovery disk in Windows 7 - Guides & Tutorials for a guide....

Make an image file. The feature is in win7 itself. Just move unnecessary files like your downloads etc (here by unnecessary I mean files other than setup and system file that includes even your files of your work) somewhere else as the image will include all the file present in the drive. Thus if your 40GB c:\ contains only 12GB data than the image will be of about 12Gb size. You can write it in DVD or save in HDD. There are both options. Visit backup of control panel.

Can it be done on the partition done in the HDD i.e. on E: or f: drives on the same HDD?

Yes! I have done and used it too(I don't have a portable HDD and don't want to write on DVD).
Though it is not advisable in case whole HDD gets corrupt but like wise you can move the file later to the external one after creating on same HDD just like other files or make directly on the external HDD or write on DVD directly.Mind that you can't write it on DVD after creating file as there will be a single file of the size of backup unless of course you have a Blue Ray writer.
