Optimal settings for Alan Wake?

I have a newly built PC with Ryzen 3 2200G, 8 GB 3000 MHz RAM in single channel, 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD, Windows 10 Professional 64 bit.

Alan Wake is saying that my configuration is too weak and set my resolution to 1024x768, low/off settings for every detail. And this still gives less than 30 FPS.

Please help me with steps to troubleshoot.

No. I have just used it as it is. I will try that and see.

I should set it for the launcher right?

Just try with MSAA off and every other setting high? It could be power management lowering the clocks on very low setting.

You should install 3DMark demo and check the score is normal first.

3D Mark Demo is like 6 GB! I cannot do it now. May be at night when no one is using the computer.

Alan Wake really needs a proper discrete GPU to run well.

You have an APU right. You might also need to increase dedicated video memory share in BIOS.

^^ In the Ryzen APU, the system allocates memory itself properly. It makes literally no difference allocating 2GB video memory share in Bios.

I'm pretty sure it's because you're in single channel bro. set power options to high performance and try setting 1920x1080 everything low. Maybe see if u can borrow a high Mhz ram to test... overclock the IGPU to 1500mhz for more performance. it can be done safely.

You can check out videos on youtube for both the single channel memory thing and overclocking the IGPU with stock fans.
