I installed ATI drivers on my FC5 PC. It seems I have no Opengl though. When I open the ati control panel, the opengl version, vendor & renderer are 'unavailable'. As a result I have gfx acceleration. What to do?.

Since the Fedora 5 release is not compatible with third party 3D graphics acceleration
drivers, You should immediately update your Kernel upon installation to get a newer
Kernel that is compatible

Checkout this link for the solution:

Also read this (what RedHat has to say about proprietary Video driver( ATI, NVidia, etc.,):

For ATI Graphics card, Open the Terminal Window & login as Root:
$ su -
(Enter password)
$ yum -y --enablerepo livna install kmod-fglrx
(Hit Enter key & wait for the installation to complete)
Read this link for more details!!: (It also contains instructions for ATI Graphic cards!!)

Thats exactly what I did. The drivers got installed, but I have no OpenGL. This is kinda strange. Maybe I will try uninstalling & reinstalling the damn thing. Any other suggestions?.
