Nvidia is set to roll out another Fermi-based product to fill out its product lineup. Spotted on Chinese rumor site ZOL is the GF106 which is supposed to power the GeForce GTS 440, 445, and 450.

Impressively, ZOL managed to secure an actual chip shot of the GF106, which measured an approximate 15.2mm to 15.7mm across.

According to the report, the chip was supposed to launch this month, but has been pushed back to September. Pricing is expected to be in the neighbourhood of $150 to $170, at least for the GTS 450, and it'll be open to custom designs from OEMs.

The new chips from nVidia are good. But we should not forget the fact that ATi will be releasing new chips very soon.

but from the rumors circling around it seems like ATi's 6 series of gpus will not have any significant speed bump as compared to 5 series.

But nvidia has strong tessellation support in it's DX11 gpus and those upcoming new gpus will have them as well.

The best point is once Nvidia's GeForce GTS 440, 445, and 450 will hit the market we will see a better competition in gpu market and ATI's 5 series gpus prices will come down as well.
