NOkia n73 video Display problem

I have a Nokia N73 normal edition which has a resolution of 240X320.
The problem is whenever I try to play a video(Mostly movie) on it the video doesnt fill the screen.I mean I still see the black bands at the top and bottom which is annoying considering the small mobile screen.I encode the video using Super 2008 at 320X240 resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio and I use Core player to play the video.
Please help...

The same thing happens in every Nokia N73. It's default and I don't think you can change it.

so this same things happens in every mobile having real player when you are using core player then wth you want more ?

core player can increase the size of video to fit in the screen........

i hav a diff kind of prob whenever i plug the earphones in the sound still comes out from the speakers
do u guys know y it happens??????
some software prob or wht
i dont want 2 take it for repairs as i heard from most once they give the phone for some prob the phone comes back with even more probs

^^ May be the connection between earphones and the phone is weak...Try different earphones...

the sound is also coming thru d earphones

buddy n73 has got fairly big screen..
nevertheless abt ur problem just download Ultra Mobile 3gp Video Converter
from here *rapidshare.com/files/156466104/Ultra_Mobile_3GP_Video_Converter_3.9_CW.rar
n then convert ur videos thr will b no black bands guaranteed
n make sure to leave d aspect ratio to Auto thats it

d setting vch i used to play video on my cell was...

Profile : AVI
Video Quality : High
Video Codec : DIVX
Resolution : 320 x 240 [VGA]
Framerate : 15fps [if u want d video sizes to b small or else go for 23fps]
Audio Quality : 64kbps [its more than sufficient rest is upto ur likings]
Sample Rate : 32000hz or 44100 hz
Aspect ratio : Auto

* Note d abv setting is for d videos converted using Ultra Mobile Converter!

N use SmartMovie its 1000 times better than Core Player for playing AVI videos
n also audio playing sucks in Core Codec Player uselessly they've given so many settings
for bass n all that all hype n nothin else!!

wat r u talkin abt i hope u did not tick d box Add Letterbox to keep Aspect Ratio

Ok dude now open the file in coreplayer

go to options click on zoom and then select 150% it is gonna work............
