NFS most wanted not installing

i have downlodaed NFS MW demo.Whenever i try to install it gives error that Direct X 9.c is needed and it is not installed .But i have latest DX 9c installed.PLZ help.

Ok try this, Right click the setup file and run it in compatibility mode for win 2000. It should solve the problem. May seem absurd but many faced the same issue with the full version of the game. And this solution(making autorun file of Disc1 to run in compatibility for win2k) seems to solve it.
