Hello.

I’m Aayush Arya, a resident of New Delhi, and I have a brand new unopened MacBook Pro that I’m offering for Rs. 1,50,000. It is the new unibody model that was released in early February this year and has the standard one-year warranty from May 2009 to May 2010 that can further be extended to May 2012 by purchasing the AppleCare Protection Plan. I’ll include the Proof of Warranty Certificate with the machine. The only difference between it and the same product bought directly from Apple is that this one is much cheaper. For more details about the product, you can check out both my craigslist listing and Apple’s 17-inch MacBook Pro details page.

I’d originally bought a MacBook Pro two-and-a-half years ago to use it as my primary machine and to serve as a desktop replacement most of the time. I was an animation and multimedia student at the time and a powerful notebook with a big screen was my primary requirement. Eventually, however, I decided to quit animation and get into journalism. Since I had to carry around my notebook a lot, I decided to purchase a MacBook instead.

Recently, my MacBook Pro developed some problems with the logic board and sleep sensor. When I took it to Apple, they replaced it with a brand new, latest unibody model. Now that I don’t have any use for it anymore, I decided not to open it at all and to sell it and buy a 24-inch iMac and a 24-inch LED Cinema Display instead.

Apple has sent me a Proof of Warranty certificate that clearly states that the warranty of this new notebook extends from May 2009 to May 2010 and can then further be extended up to three years with the purchase of the standard AppleCare Protection Plan. In other words, the only difference between it and machine you’d buy from Apple is that this one is cheaper.
