Budget - 10K though can stretch it by another 2k if I can get my hands on soon to be launched Zenfone 2.

Display type and size- 5 inches minimum, 720X1280 Resolution minimum

Dual sim - Preferably

Brand - Any but should not result in hassles down the lane

Camera - Front facing optional. Photos taken should be good enough for family albums.

OS -Android

Connectivity - 3G

Primary Use - Multimedia, Camera, Internet, Good GPS

2 GB RAM. Should have a sturdy build and good OS upgrade support. Battery should last for 2 days with normal use.
