Hello.

I own an HP Pavilion dv6 6119TX laptop. It is powered by an AMD Radeon HD6490M graphics card. But I want to replace it with an NVIDIA card. Is it possible?

The main reason for wanting to change the graphics card is that certain software and games are not supported or run poorly in AMD cards (Mari, CryEngine, Medal of Honour 2010, GTA IV Liberty City, etc).

I bought the laptop in June last year.

Full config:
2.3GHz Core i5 (2nd Gen), 4GB DDR3, 640GB HDD, 1GB AMD Radeon HD6490M.

Please reply.

Should have purchased a laptop with HD 6770M or GTX 550M if you were concerned about gaming. HD 6630M and GT 540M are the minimum.

HD 6490M is slow for gaming.

All you can do is install the latest Catalyst 12.x drivers.
