New Gaming Laptop under 1 lakh

Hi all,

Please suggest me a gaming laptop as per following needs:

1) What is your budget? (INR or USD) 1 lakh, can stretch a little if it's worth it.

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer? Gaming Laptop, don't know technical things but I'd prefer a laptop with some port to use my 4k tv as the screen.

• Netbook; 11" - 10” screen or less
• Thin and Light; 12" - 14" screen
• Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen
• Desktop Replacement; 17"+ screen

3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?
I want to play some old games mainly Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning as well as enjoy latest games also along with gaming on console.

4) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?
I know nothing much about hardware, brands and stuff so please enlighten me what's what. Warranty and service center availability is an issue for me so I want both of them.

5) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

6) Anything else you would like to say? don't know technical things, good screen and decent battery backup is desired.

• Screen resolution ( 768p (HD) / 900p / 1080p (Full HD) )
• Battery back up ( normal (3-4hrs) / extended (5-7hrs) )
• Purchase place : must be available in India online or Retail market in Delhi, I know none who can get me imported stuff.

Specific requirements: It must be compatible with Xbox 360 as well as Xbox one controller cuz that's how I'll be gaming on it. 360 controller for old games and xbox one controller for latest games.


Anything else:
I know nothing of Windows laptops as I'm a long time Macbook user. I mainly game on my PS4 pro, but there are some games old and new which I want to revisit and are not available on ps4 that's why I wanna buy a laptop.

Going by your primary requirements, consider assembling a desktop with GTX 1070 since you would be using your 4k TV as the screen.

Do not consider a laptop for 100k unless you are importing it. Good ones are priced way higher here than in international markets (1$ becomes >100 INR).

If you are casually going to play games on laptop, no need to spend 100k. Look out for flipkart/amazon sales where laptops with 1050Ti go for ~50k.

Just get this one for 63k before the offer ends. GTX 1050Ti is a very capable GPU & you don't need to spend 30k more for GTX 1060 if you aren't going to use laptop much for gaming.

BTW that GPU performs much better than PS4/Xbox One (60-70% faster). It is bit inferior to PS4 Pro though.
