Network access not possible

I have two pcs one running on windows xp and the other on windows 98se
the sytem is networked. i cannot access windows98 machine from windowsxp it says that access is denied check with ur administrator but i can acces windowsxp from windows98. I can ping from both the pc. can anyone help please

I think that you need to activate the guest account in winxp or create an account in winxp with same username/password as the win98 machine
