^Since he had the budget, suggested a more feature-rich full ATX board with more PCIe slots, usb 3.0,SATA III and M.2 port.
Most full ATX H97/B85 boards with those features are priced in the same range or a bit more than this z97 board, although there are few other boards like Gigabyte G1 Sniper 5 which may not be as feature-rich but still quite close enough. Can save some money with this board. :)

CM elite 330 would be compatible with that rig,you would have to remove the cpu duct on side panel to fit the hyper TX3 evo.
Only thing is if you decide to wait and buy a more powerful GPU later which may be lengthier than maximum clearance of the cabinet then you will be forced to buy a different cabinet.

And will op be needing those features?

Well it depends on individual's usage.Forum's staple board has been Gigabyte B85m-d3h.
B85m-d3h has only 2 PCIe slots, which is enough for many people. But after addition of GPU there's only one free PCIe slot, add a sound card or tv-tuner card then none is left. Many guys who were on older platforms which didn't have native usb3.0 ports could get that by using a usb3.0 PCIe explansion card. For many out there 2 PCIe slots is sufficient.M.2 SSDs are not mainstream now but they can become in future. The thing is one doesn't buy motherboard more often and if one can afford a better featured one then he can opt for it.
Since he had the budget to accomodate a more featured board I suggested one, have nothing against b85m-d3h,it is fine for its price.

Hi All,

First of all, I do apologize in advance for swerving this thread off-topic. I just wanted to address the comments made by The Sorcerer and Raaabo.

In a nutshell, Raaabo is correct; I'm just a regular member with the exception of Western Digital related issues. Any WD concerns like RMA, external/internal HDD tech questions, you're not sure how to setup NAS, the WD TV box doesn't work for any reason, just open a thread and I'll be there. Or if you prefer, PM me and I'll try my best to help you out in my role as a WD Official.

For non-WD related stuff, please do treat me as a regular member. I like tech, and though I'm still not a PC Build master, I try to contribute with the current level of knowledge I have. I may give not the best advice sometimes in these cases like Sorceror pointed out, but I'm learning just like you guys too.

So it's all on op. If he does need those features then he can opt for a B85 and save some money for more RAM
