Need suggestions, Good phone under 15k... Interested list mentioned in thread

Hi all,

Need suggestion,...was thinking of getting a new phone. The budget is 15k max. Not in touch with the latest news regarding smartphones.

Came across these during search :
Moto G 2ndGen ( Most people were suggesting this, but i heared the battery is pretty bad)
Micromax Canvas Nitro A310 (Very few reviews regarding this one )
Xiaomi Mi3
Oneplus One (Not sure when this will be available in India, would like to know if there are any news regarding its launch in India)

what i am looking for basically, ordered in terms of priority :

* Good rig for gaming
* Battery life
* Camera quality
* Looks

Well there is only one winner in this slot and that is the Mi 3. The second best option if u want an android device is Moto G 2....
However I suggest that you wait for sometime more as Xiaomi has plans for launching the Mi3 again during Diwali.

Or else u can also look at some Windows OS phones...... The Xolo Win Q900s..,is a fantastic phone and comes with great looks and price. Screen and camera are good too. And windows is probably the best OS out there. I suggest u use it before buying an android. Windows 8.1 is blazing fast

avoid xiaomi and one plus one because they lack proper after sales
though one plus one is well made and service centres in other countries is supposedly great and Oppo has promised to establish service centres in india,cant say the same for xiaomi because their service centre didnt exactly work for my friend who sold his mi3 within 2 weeks and got a Moto G (2013)
avoid micromax like the plague
get the moto G 2014!! its a safe buy
incase you want another option,check out the Lumia 730
great battery life and camera and updates etc

the Lumia 730 is a much better option because xolo service etc is not that great
though i do agree with the rest of your points!! :)

^Congrats !! You became the first ( & probably the only one ) to suggest Xperia M2.
( no offence to M2, its a good looking phone with decent specs, but sony has priced it absurdly. )

The moto G trumps it in every way ( maybe except battery department ).
+ 1 to motoG(2014)

TFT screen :facepalm: and $hit screen resolution for the price, same as Moto E. even 6k Redmi 1s has 720p screen
only 4 point multitouch
NFC doesn't really matter
no chances of updates beyond 4.4.2 (sony dumped Xperia M, L, SP users)
Camera is subjective, some like oversaturated pics, while some like natural colours.
only a 10% increase in battery capacity.

M2 price is justified at 8-10k

screen and updates on the M2 could be a problem however its camera is far better than the competition,except Lumias

The camera performance on the m2 is indeed better than Moto g2 but not by a huge margin. The nfc is practically useless at the moment.
Better customer support. - as far as I am concerned, I absolutely hate it. ( personal opinion).. Sony has nicely duped me.. My Xperia L has visited the service centre 5 times in the last 3 months. ( it emits screeching sound when I receive a call and despite arguing with them that its a hardware problem, they just do a software update ).. Just visiting there Sony mobiles forum and check out the mid range phones section.. The treatment that these mid range phones get is very bad.
And like saiyangoku said, the batter performance is only marginally better.

Mi3 is on sale for one last time this week, but till now they haven't said about availability to all customers as right now they are aiming to give it to people who have not managed to get it inspite of registering to buy it,
Hands down this is the best phone under this price, I'm using this phone for two months, no issues so far,
Redmi is also a decent option, there are users here who bought this you can ask their opinion in the official thread

I think you meant they reflashed the stock ROM. :wink:
how can they update the software when sony denied 4.3 to Xperia L. :lol:

Well that's what they've apparently do all the time.. No matter what the problem is, their only solution is to perform a software update. ( reflashing) :p

My sis has got m2. Previously she had a 520. I might sound weird but the lumia gives much better pictures than Sony.
