Hello, I have Intel i7 950 processor with msi big bang xpower mb & 4gb ddr3 ram but the problem is my mb is gone & no repair is possible as par tech person i called so currently I m in huge problem as I wanted to buy new pc but there are so many if & but

- Prices are too high due to mining.
- New safe processors are coming.
- Should I wait for Canonlake?
- May be nvidia going to launch volta arch. With 20k series.

Ya I know every year new tech is coming but we are already in 2018 so I m really confuse so please help me in this matter.

I m not in hurry. Currently I only need pc for reguler simple use & light gaming like bluestack or some card hames etc. So my options are...

Best Choice - Look for lga 1366 x58 mb which I already tried but not available in any well known stores so if any one of you know where I will find old series mb please let me know. I m from mumbai.

2nd option - Buy ddr3 support mb & processor as I have 4gb ddr3 ram & all other products.

3rd option - Buy low price mb / processor & ddr4 ram if above options are not possible.

May be some1 going to suggest me to wait for ryzen 2nd gen. Processors but as I mention currently prices r high as well I mostly preffer Intel with Nvidia as well I m really looking for mb/procesdor which suports ddr3 ram so plaese suggest me something very cheap option just to use this pc for few more months.

Thanks.

1. Almost all LGA 1366 motherboards on ebay, aliexpress, quikr are in the range of 20k to 25k including shipping.
2. It's not best to go with EOL processors like the Intel 4th,6th gen in 2018.
3. So it's best to go with any cheaper AMD Ryzen APU + Mobo + RAM for your purpose.

Due to mining, all GPU prices have skyrocketed and it might stay for another year or so. Thus it's best to go with Ryzen APU setup.

Budget -20.7K

AMD Ryzen 3 2200G -8900,
MSI A320M Pro-VH Plus -5100,
Crucial Ballistix Tactical 8GB 3000Mhz DDR4 -6700.
Total -20,700.

All above prices are taken from www.mdcomputers.in

Thanks.. yehh i too check those mothboards & they are so costly, may be due to unavailability.

About ryzen 20k is quite much & that's why I m confused. Isn't its better to buy whole new build rather than wasting 20k?

I mean 5/6k is ok which may be not possible but still any one from mumbai knows any shop, market to buy old series new/2nd hand motherboaeds? If not then I think I will rather wait or going to buy new pc without gpu as intel & upcoming ryzen 2nd generation having inbuild graphics in them.

Thanks again. Still trying to find x58 board.

if your only requirement is running blue stacks and playing card games, then you can opt for some core 2 du0 cpu+motherboard+ram combo-they can be found pretty cheap nowadays on sites like ebay or you can even search for it on sites like olx or quikr.

Yes I actually want to buy new pc but currently prices are way to high specially for gpu & ram as well if I manage start this old rig then its easy for me to sell whole pc locally rather then looking for buyer for each seperate part.

So if any one know good mb/cpu supporting ddr3 ram ( i have corsair 2x2gb ddr3 ) then that would be really nice.

If you just need it for regular web browsing etc then just get this:
you can add ram & psu from your existing build & you are good to go.

Wow thaks.. that's quite a good option but few people in question & review saying it supports ddr3l ram & no support fot ddr3 is that true?
Is bluestack going to work on this with 4gb ram ? & i have zotac 710 2gb ddr5 graphics card too.

I read the reviews but official specification says "Dual channel DDR3/-L UDIMM slot support" which,as far as english grammar is concerned, suggests both regular 1.5v ddr3 ram as well as 1.35v ddr3l ram should work.No idea about bluestack but I don't think installing a GT710 is a good idea with this mobo as it has a pci-e v2.0 x16 slot but it is running at x1 only.It may work but not sure.

Hey is it ok to buy Intel G3260 & gigabyte 1150 socket mb for around 8000rs. ?

Reviews r quite good for cpu. Any suggestion?

Any1 knows any better option even in amd which supports ddr3 ram around or less than 8k budget?

Please help me.. Thanks.

Nothing better but 8k seems high considering G3260/mobo is EOL(end of line) product.G3260 should not cost more than 3.2k & similarly the mobo too should be less than 3.5k.For comparison G4400 cost 3.4k & socket 1151 mobo with ddr4 ram slots costs ~3.5k.See if you can find an old/used 1151 mobo with ddr3 ram slots, that would be the best combo.

edit: On second thought it might not be a good idea to get socket1151 mobo with ddr3 ram slots as first there were very few such models & second intel itself recommend ddr4 for skylake & above processors.

But 1151 dont support ddr3. As par i found in latest only 1150 is currently available which supports ddr3 rams.

I check all possible sites & price is almost same. Only 50/100 rs. Difference.

Both products r in 3 year warranty and I m quite sure that I will buy better pc once the prices for ram and gpu falls.

I m just curious that is there any better amd processor/mobo availanle at 8k price which suports ddr3 ram as I really dont know much about amd.

you have 3 options..

1) old used system ..

extremely cheap but no reliability/guarantee , decent performance..

old Gigabyte/Asus G41 mobo with DDR 3 support - Rs 1500
old E7400/7500/8400/8500 - Rs 500

total around 2k or so..

if willing to spend more you maybe able to find used 1150/1155 board + compatible low end pentium combos in used pc shops, olx and forums etc for 3.5k

2) Modern decently powerful New build

G4400 - 3500 , Mobo - 3700 , 4gb ddr4 ram - 1800 ( after selling your ddr3, should sell for Rs 1500 )

total - 9000

G4560 price also has dropped to Rs 4500 , if you need even more performance..

3) in new, cheapest possible decent builds

Fm2 build

mobo -3500

A4 4020 CPU - 2300

total - around Rs 5700

*** before buying Confirm once regarding Ram,cpu compatibility by looking in support list etc and check reviews..

There is also AM1 based builds but sempron and celeron j1800/3050 performance and those is way too low

But 1151 dont support ddr3. As par i found in latest only 1150 is currently available which supports ddr3 rams.

Some very early 6th gen boards had DDR3 support , but this will be difficult to find..

Welcome :)
yeah DDr4 ram prices are high , i updated it slightly.. 4gb ddr4 costs around Rs 3300-3500 , the price i mentioned is after deducting amount at which you will sell your current 4gb DDR3.. so total eventual cost to you should roughly be around 9k

why ? post it on olx digit, quikr , it will sell easily , at less price those local used PC shops will take happily .. if you want to keep costs down you can go for 2nd hand 4gb ddr4+g4560 and buy a new mobo ..
