Need help connecting Home Theater to new Samung TV

I have recently purchased Samsung 46" TV D6000. I have a Sony Home Theater which I would like to connect to my TV. Which kind of cable should I look for and which port to be used both on Player and the TV. It looks like I may have to use Optical cable.

Sony Home Theater Model is DAV DZ151 KB

Currently setup is done as follows:
TV headphone out port connected to audio in port of hts.
But sound quality is not that great!

optical cable will provide very good sound but how to do it I don't have any idea wait for someone who knows.

You can simply check for the ports available on the back side of TV.
Procedure to be followed :-

1> LINE OUT of TV to LINE IN of Home Theater using RCA cable.
2> Headphone out of TV to AUDIO IN/MIC on the front panel of Home Theater.
3> Line out of DTH STB to Line In of Home Theater.

follow the steps as guided and try !!!
