There is nothing to worry. Past is the past. If you keep on thinking about it ,nothing is going to happen. You have to move on.

You have no backlogs at present and that is a great thing. Now you have to make sure that you don't get any of them in the 4th year, because getting one in the final could change your fortune in case of placement.

Companies are looking for freshers without any backlogs. Right now you are in a good position. As I said keep on doing well in your in your final year, if that happens then automatically you will get placement and things will be nice.

Its hard to believe that you are in the 4th year and you still don't have much knowledge of SQL, and HTML. See , from B-Tech you will get only the basics ,rest you have to build by your own methods.

You need a B-Tech to get a job in a good company, but to maintain the job as it is you have to work really hard and that is what the industry wants.

You will get a decent job, there is no doubt about that. But please take care of the final year. Past is the past. Make sure that you average is around 60%+, don't go below 60% because you could be eliminated in those campus selections where there is a cut off .

By the way in which college do you study?

Wish you all the best !

Btech.. IT, its a kind of course where they teaches more about administration than programming in computers.. so your technically your field should be computer managment . There is no issue if you know little HTML or sql.. but yes, you need to make sure that you are good in what you have learned through btech. Rest you will learn yourself and in training as knowledge requirement differs from job to job according to profile .

Don't get embararassed by the management subjects! They have their own importance. Your 2nd year will not become a hindrance to the placement, so don't bother much about it. Instead keep looking for your current year.

Don't think of MBA right now. Just study well the remaining of B.Tech.

Both Java and .Net are currently trending, but in my opinion you should go for Java, since Java has good scope in the future.

hi friends i am back:lol::???:..now the the life has move on and i am now in my semester:lol::lol:...i was a noob back then,,but i know a litlle bit to some bit to quite a bit of programming like
c,c++,java,c#,vb,MYSQL etc etc,,but the point is that i am jack of all trades but master of none.:?..
so my question is what should be my next step i have appx 5-6 months for getting some more out of btech.
what should be my next step scjp or mcts or maybe ccna,,common give me your valuable thoughts.

rhitwick

Democracy is a myth
^get into NIIT and do a course on JAVA. If possible keep an eye on doing SCJP at the same time.

AND, from now on concentrate on only one programming language.
