1) What is your budget? (INR or USD)
16000 rupees. Lesser is better.
2) What size notebook would you prefer?
a. Netbook; 10” screen or less
3) Which country will you buying this notebook? Also state that if Amazon.com or Newgg.com ships to your country (Only if you know this info).

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like:asus, dell, [hp-maybe, lenovo-had a laptop that worked well without problems for 3yrs but I only used it once in a blue moon so can't say)
b. Dislike:expensive ones, delicate ones, ones with AMD cpu, apple/vaio
5) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
Internet(firefox), video conversion(xvid4psp), video playback(max 1920x*** mediaplayer classic), Downloading files off internet(24x~7), Audio Playback(windows media player7xp), MS word editing, some photoshop, acdsee and painter 11.
6) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both?
Both. Would be carrying it on to college and almost everywhere I go. I travel a lot.
7) Will you be playing games on your notebook? If so, please state which games or types of games?
I don't expect it to be able to play any games that I like(L4D2, dead space2 for example)
Hope it can at least play nfs most wanted or team fortress2(doubtful)
8) How many hours of battery life do you need?
well at least 3hrs minimum, considering its a netbook
9) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?
most desirable netbooks are never on display in computer shops
Would like to check for possible issues/problems online from others who already have it (things like overheating, keypad functionality, touchpad issues, audio, wireless connectivity etc)
10) What OS do you prefer? Windows (XP or Vista or Windows 7), Mac OS, Linux, etc.
I like xp(I think asus provides drivers for a range of OS')+more free RAM, windows starter does not allow wallpaper change so??

I've seen 1024x600 to be common on netbooks.
hardware wise I like glossy surface on a netbook.
I don't have problem with screen size since I use portable devices like a psp and my phone to watch movies most of the time.
HDD space should be 160GB to 250
Will sacrifice HDD space for more Ram.
