Need a Help Want to buy a laptop under 45 - 50k

Hi... I am planning to buy a laptop. Mostly in Two Days as a Pongal Festival. These are my requirements;

1) What is your budget? 45-50k INR


2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?

• Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen

3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?

Microsoft Excel, Word Using.
Web browsing
Youtube, Netflix, Amazon Prime.
Watching Movies.
Softwares like Photoshop.

5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for?

No.

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

Like: No.
Dislike: No

6) Anything else you would like to say?

• Screen resolution (1080p (Full HD) )
• Need a good battery back Up
• The lighter is better.
• Windows laptops only.
• Some good games(Occasionally Play)

CS:GO is a good game which doesn't needs a high end GPU. Witcher 3 is a good game which needs at least RX570/GTX 1650 to run at 1080p60 high settings.
Please mention which games and at what settings you want to play.

Meets all the requirements including light gaming. Games like FIFA 20 will run great, 1080p ultra 60fps, but not heavy games like RDR2 (might barely hit 30fps at 720p lowest settings). Witcher 3 will run fine at 1080p medium settings.

If you want to play all the new & upcoming games, you need a GTX 1650 laptop for 55k (1650 is 4x better than MX250 in most games). This one goes for 55k during sales, was 55k yesterday:

The first option meets *all* your requirements including light gaming. It doesn't sell under 50k usually.

Otherwise, I was going to recommend its non-GPU version of Swift 3 or this:

^^It goes for 50k or lower during sales. It is like 350g lighter (1.35kg is light for a 14"), might last 8-9hrs on battery vs 6-7hrs of Acer & is smaller (can be a con or pro, the display is smaller as well). Since you mentioned requirement as 15" display, the Acer one is a better fit.

Indian market lacks good options for a 15" ultrabook. If you really need 15", you will end up with a multimedia laptop weighing 2kg with average battery life & build. Asus Vivobook 15 with i5/Ryzen 5, 8GB RAM & 256GB SSD will be a good choice, if you can find it under 50k.

R5 3500U has better iGPU than i5 8265U, so better gaming performance (still inferior to MX250 of that Acer).

@anupam_pb I was also considering that Swift model but apparently it has no RAM upgrade option/slot. Plus it's a 14 inch right?

Many ultrabooks have soldered RAM, sadly that is one of them. For normal usage, 8GB is enough. Even big games have 8GB as minimum requirement.
