Well, the questionnaire bugged me since a long time too. I understand mikael_schiffer's plight. It's all about the readability of the post. One who is reading the questionnaire find it difficult to understand the answers since the flow of reading (and thereby understanding) is broken down by the questions, which are apparently bigger than the most of the answers.

So, ico: Something is broken, and it needs fixing.

And you CAN force user to bold questions OR answers :
Write the template with tags inside
PHP:
tags, which don't render the tags. So something like this:
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans:

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans:

Just let user copy the template from PHP tag. Profit.

We should think up a scheme that makes it easy even for a novice to post a thread with proper formatting. How about this scheme for the questionnaire?

SAMPLE QUESTIONNAIRE

--------------------
Instructions : Please copy and paste the following questionnaire completely into your post and enter your answers at the Ans: prompt.

1. What is the purpose of computer?
Ans:
this is portable. but you know the answer for this question from most people will be home pc, office pc,gaming pc etc. nothing extra will be added. the specific softwares , the games etc will have an impact on suggested rig in one way or another way!

The questionnaire format was created so that the Thread creator can give all the required information for receiving a comprehensive advice.
However, i feel one does not need to mention the questions in his post. It makes his post difficult to read. its a small gripe, nothing biggie, can be totally ignored but it has been grinding my gears since last year...

For eg

VS

Both offers similar information , but the second example is more easy to read and pleasing to the eye and keeps the thread concise, compact and prevents unnecessary scrolling, specially for mobile users

Your suggestion is wonderful, but think like that all the other users are not as intelligent and thoughtful like you, and will ended up creating thread like this.

Good suggestion by Vyom.

Now this thread can be locked. ;)

However if people start skipping the last three questions by not copying them, I'll revert to the old one.
