Thanks!
anirbandd I did click a couple of pics while building. Will try to find them and update here. Otherwise it will be a pain to disturb the whole setup I have unless someone can take my Corsair 400r and I swap it with 600T.:-D:-D

damn. dude anirbandd, how badly you wanted to see the insides? coz my PSU (one of the few parts re-used from my old rig) just went kaput and I had to take out. took some inside pics for you in the process. :(

Beast of a rig. Congrats :3

However, please do check the fan arrangements. There could be better airflow.

Why dont people buy the R9 290 ? , only this and the 290x are based on the new hawai architecture, rest of the R9 series are just rebranded Amd 7000 series cards.

I know right! And why did he go for an i7 4770k instead of Haswell-E? And that too with air cooling when he could have gone with liquid nitrogen. Such noobs...

What I mean is that instead of buying an i7 4770k+R9 280x he could have bought an I5 4670k+ R9 290

Both setups cost the same and IMO the second one is a more powerful setup for gaming

Or maybe he has other uses for his PC than just gaming.
Like building an orbital doomsday machine for eliminating mankind ?

Seriously though, unless and until he uses an application which can take full advantage of HT, the I7 is way overkill.

Plenty of everyday applications could use the extra threads. How do you know the OP isn't seriously into photo editing, 3d rendering or software development?

Because if he seriously was into stuff like 3d rendering etc he would have gotten a firepro/quadro card.Anyways it still is a very powerful setup and congos to OP.

But I still think that a card which performs better than even an Nvidia GTX TITAN in certain games would have been a better choice for OP
