My battle between Dell and HP

I have zeroed in on these two laptop models. I will be using the laptop for basic work use, major movie watching, music, major video chatting and browsing. Minimal gaming.

Please suggest the best value for money laptop.

1. HP Pavilion dv6701AU Entertainment Notebook PC (KB177PA)
AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Dual-Core 1.90 GHz, 512 KB + 512 KB L2 Cache
Windows Vista® Home Premium
1 GB RAM
160 GB SATA HDD

1) 2 years warranty

I guess if you opt not to go in for BT headset you can configure the same laptop for better value for money.

7150 gfx I believe has separate 256 MB graphics RAM.

And Bluetooth headset is being given free of cost till this month end....

My doubt is which is better.....going for the HP system at 40K or Dell at 50K

^^^ If you don't opt for the BT headset then you can opt VIsta Home Basic or Premium (you haf a choice) and the total savings is close to 5k which means there is NO such thing as FREE Bt headset! The cost is included!

HP shares RAM, and fingerprint scanner is total waste unles you are a X-files kind of paranoid. :D.

as for lightscribe i think the media are still expensive.

i have the same laptop HP and i am not that satisfied.
