Friens, i ve recently assemble my pc wid an AMD Athlon II X245,ASUS M4A78-E Motherboard,Transcend 2GB DDR 2 800MHz,WD 320GB HDD,I-Ball cabinet with bundled 400w smps. The first time i start up my computer,i check the cpu n mb temperature through the bios but surprisingly found 37deg C for CPU and 80deg C for Motherboard which i think is very high. But my system runs smoothly,no hanging, tasks are handled well.So totally confused if da temp goes higher in load state it might blow up my cpu,mb or components. Please suggest.

Do not look at the BIOS temperatures. Using the following in conjunction and correlate.

HW Monitor.
CoreTEMP.
Lavalys Everest

80C for motherboard is just not possible.

forget those Asus utilities. they are nothing but big jokes. download HW Monitor & check as the temperature as asigh told.
