Motherboard - RAM compatibility

Right off the assembly line
Hello there,
I have a ASUS P5G41T-M LX3 Motherboard with a 2GB PC3-10700 DD3 RAM(HMT125U6BFR8C-H9) installed. (Windows7 64bit). Yesterday I purchased a new 4GB Corsair PC3-10700 DDR 3 RAM (cmv4gx3m1a1333c9) and tried to install in to the motherboard. The computer fails to boot with the new RAM. I tried the RAM on my friend's computer and it works fine. I tried the RAM on both slots and it failed. I tried the old RAM and the new RAM together; and this time the computer boots but shows only 2GB in system properties. I used CPU-z and it shows 6GB and detects the RAM in slot 1!. please help me what should I do to get it working.

Thanks in advance.
