Hi

I built a computer for my uncle more than 3 years back, his config was this

AMD Phenom 2 Black edition 550 3.1 Ghz - Will Change
MSI GF615M-P33 - Dead
Corsair 2 x 4 GB DDR 3 RAM
Corsair VX 450w
Liteon DVD writer
WD 500 GB HDD
DELL FHD 22" LCD monitor
XFX GTS 250 Core 512 MB graphic card
Logitech Multimedia Keyboard and mouse Rs 700
A Xtech mid tower cabinet - Will Change

The MSI motherboard is dead now, i changed it two times under warranty, as every time it gave problem, now my uncle wants to upgrade his PC, now what should be the good thing to do at this time

should we buy a new PC with DDR4 RAM or should we just upgrade Mobo, proccy and cabinet

Budget - 10k to 15k (mobo + proccy + cabinet)

i am not quite updated with computer hardware so guys pleaese suggest me good upgrade, money is not a problem as he can spend ebough if the product is worth the money and the new system is good for another 3 to 5 years.

or atleast suggest a great proccy with moboard with fits in rest of the part and best quality cabinet

fx 8320- 9.5k
gigabyte ga-970a-ds3 - 5.2k/ECS A970M A-5.5k
local cabinet- 0.7k

if you purchase a local cabinet, you can afford fx 8320,which i think is better. You can upgrade your cabinet anytime later.

^Yes it is... but according to your budget you could only get i3 3220 which have inbuilt graphics but is a downgrade to FX 6300.
I would suggest you to go with FX 6300. If you gfx fails get a cheap one like GT 520 for 1.8k or any other cheap.(Untill you could afford a good one).

Yes it has HDMI (it is usefull to connect with TV)

i think for cabinet Gamma is good option,

but i still think there should be option from intel side in this budget

ok so if i want to use my same processor the AMD phenom 550 b, what should be the good motherboard then,

considering i will save the money on processor

op, if you go with a cheap cabby, you can afford an fx 8320 which is a better investment over fx 6300..The 2 extra cores will be beneficial for you. you can upgrade to gamma a month or 2 later but not cpu. It is a long term investment. Think yourself.

what is the price of FX8320 and what motherboard with that,

also why not 3rd gen intel i5 or i3, are they not worth it,

my budget can be increased a bit if its worth to spend extra on better proccy and mobo, and what about APU from AMD are they not good also

FX8320===>10500
For MoBo==>Asus M5A97 R2.0(6100)/Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0(7100)
U can compare both boards and see which one is better

Well if u want to buy intel based config then go for 4th gen becoz intel 3rd gen u won't have otions for future upgrade Coz 3rd & 4th gen use different socket & in 2 years 3rd gen will be outdated
AMD APU r not that much good i terms of performance, I think FX8320 will be good choice but for ur needs it will be overkill.
I think u should go with FX6300 :)

what about APU setup, and i think FX8320 would be an overkill machine for the people for whom i am building this, they are not heavy users,

any more mobo with IGP so in case the graphic card die i can switch to IGP

i checked those asus motherboard and they are very feature rich, most of the feature will never be used by the user, also why not any suggestion on intel 3rd gen setup and AMD APU
