I have a system based on Athlon XP 1800+. My motherboard is gone and cannot be repaired. Is there any other motherboard available in the market for this cpu?? Like Asus A7N8X or something like that??

There are no motherboards available for Athlon XP processors. You can get some 2nd hand motherboards if you look for them:)

u hav got a 939 socket processor.....u hav to get mobo based on this socket, and its a difficult task b'coz its outta production.

So u better get an AM2 socket based processor and mobo. And its easy on budget than going of the above solution.

athlon XP .. is way old man. its not 939 :-x

Athlon64 has two sockets 754 & 939, Athlon64 X2 has AM2 Socket

AthlonXP must be having some earlier socket  I think its Socket A.. like my oldie K6-2 processor.

Although I would also suggest that just buy a new MB n Processor ..
it will cheaper comparatively.bcoz they charge u anything if you did get one.
X2 4000+ & MB = Rs. 5.5k! and be free for few more years

Yeah...good suggestion. But I want to run my PC only for 2-3 months. After that I'm planning for Penryn. Also now I don't want to spend money on DDR2.
