MONITOR PROBLEM( in 17'')

Recently I have installed "SUSE 10"........but after the installation ,I could not able to get the dekstop it displays a message that frequency is more
than the operating frequency in the case of 17''-inch monitor ... and when
I replaced it by 15''-inch then , it is working properly.........
so what should I do ??? PLEASE HELP ME OUT

maybe the resolution and the refresh rate is set tooo high try to decrese the resolution to 1024*768@75hz.I don't know how to do it in suse linux,i believe it has to be done before booting process in console mode(which looks like DOS mode)

wich 15 adn 17" monitors u have?.. either u have a very very gud 15"monitor and a crap 17" or soemthing wrong with ur settings.
