mobo for 5k

A good motherboard for 5k?

Compatible with phenom x4 970 or x6 1055t....wont be overclocking.

On board graphics if possible would be nice.

Ive seen the asus m5a97. Is the 1k extra justified?

ASUS M5A88-M or Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3. The latter has AM3+ socket and is recommended if you're not OC'ing.

Hows asus m5a78L-m ? Or m4a88t-m?

As long as you don't OC they're fine. BTW check the prices of the boards I mentioned at SMC too.

It's always better to get an AM3+ socket board so that it'll keep the upgrade path open.

970 doesn't have any IGP. so make sure you have a graphics card ready. else forget 9 series all together.

if you don't overclock, this is the one to go for. and even if you handle, should be handled easily. supports 140W processor. must be 4+1 phase.
