Mobile phone Rules?!

1.Any problem in any mobile, first switch off, wait for 30secs,then switch on,most of them work well.

2.If you are using any OS based mobile, always 'restart' the device atleast once in 24hrs.

3.Always use the 'original' theme supplied by the manufacturer, this gives optimal performance of the battery.

4.Always use the 'original' screen saver provided by the manufacturer, all third party screen savers consumes heavy battery power.

5.Never Buy 2ndhand mobile.

6.Always apply screen protector.

7.Always use 'original' datacable.

8.Never Buy 'high end' mobiles at the time of release,it will be always unstable, needs firmware upgrade.

9.Always use 'keypad lock'.

10.Do not carry too many mobiles which are switched on in your pocket.

That is not at al the technical way to a problem. It is like, having troubles with your computer, restart it. Again trouble, restart it. Problem needs to be understood. And mobile is not like a computer, if you have any problem, it is either with the network or the Operating System. Those with the network can be solved by going to offline mode (Available in the new nokia phones) and again switching to network mode. OS problems need more than restarting!!

Restarting the phone takes its toll on the Battery Life. What you are saying helps in recovering Free Ram. But it does not need to be a once in every 24 hour event. Rarely would you find an application not starting due to ram problem.

Always use the 'original' theme supplied by the manufacturer, this gives optimal performance of the battery.
This is a Myth!!
Original theme by the Manufacturer include High Quality icons and graphix. In reality, many of the themes by individuals give a better performance, as they are not as graphically enhanced as by proffesionals. but, yeh there are some really good theme makes, using whose themes, would mean more resources used up than the Themes included out of the box.

Again crap. If you use Animated and Graphical screensavers, then they would occupy more battery. But you have Simple screensavers created by technicians for the purpose of better battery consumption and utility.

Never Buy 2ndhand mobile.
The word "never" should be used rarely as it would always lead to examples which would nullify your statement.
2nd hand mobiles should be bought from trusted sources.
What if i buy a mobile, get a better one as a gift a month later and sell my old one. "never" would mean you loose out on an awsome deal.

Always apply screen protector.
Newer Nokia phones come along with a scratch Proof Plastic screen. Screen protector is not needed if you know how to handle a cell, and with the newer cells, you do not need it at all.

Always use 'original' datacable.
And may i ask why so? Do you mean to say that only the manufacturers have the technology to manufacture usable data cables?
You should not buy grey market stuff blindly, but you have good companies manufacturing data cables.

Never Buy 'high end' mobiles at the time of release,it will be always unstable, needs firmware upgrade.
There may be bugs, but that is not a certainty or a Has to happen phenomenon. And now a days, firmwares are just a couple of months away.
This way, No software should be tried as soon as it is release?

Always use 'keypad lock'.
Why do you need a keypad lock always? You can do very well without a keypad. Keypad does not hurt, but why always?

Do not carry too many mobiles which are switched on in your pocket.
Ok, i know mobile radiation is harmful for the body ( Those who carry it in the trouser pockets should be aware that it affects your fertility  ), but 2 mobiles would not hurt that bad. I have never seen a guy carrying 4 5 mobiles in his pockets.

I do not mean to offend anyone, but though it necessary to clear some points about the rules stated here.
