Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen

3) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
Mid range gaming - latest title's under low/medium settings!
Casual Video editing (Adobe Photoshop & Adobe After Effects)
Basically lots of running processes and multitasking.

5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?

Thank you for suggesting these laptops.
Btw I am going to buy in flipkart itself,so it would be better if the laptops are under 40k.

I'm a bit confused about the 1GB gpus and 2.5GB(dedicated) gpus. Can anyone brief me on this.

I'ws thinking about these,kindly tell me if these are good or not,

For the GPUs that are available in these price range 1GB or 2GB is not going to make any difference for gaming.So don't bother about it.

Lenovo Essential G510 (59-398343) has got hd4600.Okish for some casual level of gaming but not that good for gaming when compared to likes of hd 7670m/8670m,also many titles just won't be playable,so you can cancel it out.HP Pavilion 15-e026AX has a good GPU but processing power wise i5 32XXm processors are quite better than the a10 4600m,still it is a good processor.

The choices given by Vyom are better than the above two for a more balanced/powerful CPU+GPU combination.A bit above your budget but are preferable.
If you can't extend the budget,then HP 15-e026AX is more suitable from gaming perspective,also has more RAM and storage.

Well I decided I will go with HP Pavilion 15-E015TX.
Before locking on this, are there any new releases in the upcoming 2-3months? If so, I shall wait to get a better one if possible.:mrgreen:

This little beast will run circles around the A10 and 8670 GPU of HP Pavilion 15-E015TX.
AMD and its CrossfireX is not at all reliable and is a real hit and miss with certain game engines (non detection of dedicated graphics or Dual graphics not working at all). Speaking from experience...I have HP g6 with A8 with 7640M+7670G

^^HP Pavilion 15-E015TX has i5 3230m,not a10 4600m.
HP Pavilion 15-N204TX has somewhat better GPU but a less powerful(ULV) processor compared to i5 3230m.

In this range CPU bottleneck should not a be problem and one should go for the HP Pavilion 15-N204TX if using solely for gaming.

^^Was talking about CPU power in general.
For gaming though gt740m is better than hd8670m.Yes,if only purpose is gaming then gt740m equipped laptop should be picked over the other options.

CPU bottleneck if any would be felt more on lower settings/resolutions than in higher quality settings.
In case of two laptops with same GPU like gt740m but one with significantly slower processor,the CPU bottleneck in processor hungry games if any would generally be more at 1366*768 than at 1920*1080.
