Microsoft wants to automatically launch its Copilot AI on some Windows 11 devices

Windows is going all in lmao. Doesn't even give 2 Fs now. Anyway seems like I will be clinging to windows 10 for all the longest time until people find a way to disable it via registry "hacks".
From what I saw, there is a toggle to turn it off. I keep copilot off. I had to upgrade to Win11 recently because of HDR.

Then there is Tiny11, if you want.

They should probably re-release Steam Machines first.
They were a little over priced I remember. But an Xbox series S is pretty much a steam machine at this point for all practical purposes. Maybe a fully decked steam deck type OS would be better received,

This COPILOT taking screenshots is just too much

You could technically install any distro on a mini-PC and connect it to your living room PC. Basically an unofficial Steam Machine.

Steam comes with the fullscreen mode by default these days.

If any of y'all want a guide on getting a gaming setup on Linux, let me know and I will create a post.

Powerful in what sense?

Real performance comes from your hardware.

Technically the only advantage Windows has is being ubiquitous. Otherwise most of the things you can do on Windows you can do on Linux, except some niche use cases (yes, I consider anti-cheat incompatibility as a niche use case).

As for Linux, I have been running nothing else for more than two years.

Case in point my Steam stats for 2023 : *s.team/y23/fvtbgng?l=english

Only 2 games played on Windows in 2023 and 97% playtime on Linux. I think those two are Skyrim and Fallout 4 because of Mod Organiser.

I'm targeting 100% for 2024.

What about Adobe and other work related software, they either run on MacOS and Win. So Win support is still significant right?

By powerful I mean OS limitations are less like we have iPadOS Apple has added M3 chip to iPad but they are unusable due to iPadOS limitations.
I feel Windows is more versatile maybe because I have used it so much I only have experience in linux with kali and ubuntu.

Niche. You can use Windows for this. Or use something like Looking Glass to emulate Windows on Linux using GPU passthrough: *looking-glass.io/

If the most common things you want to do are browse the web and watch videos then Linux is more than enough. Hell like I posted in my last post, it's even viable for gaming.

True, but iPadOS is not the same as Mac OS, so comparing it to Windows might not be fair.
