Memory Problem in Windows 7

Dear Friends,

My computer shows only 3.73 GB usable although I have 8 GB RAM. Why this is happening? Please Help. Also I noticed Through Virtual Box that My Windows 7 uses only 4 GB RAM. That means another 4GB is sitting like a duck...?? Please Help.

I've experienced the same with my 4GB RAM, where it showed 3.73GB as usable.
Check your msconfig and uncheck like below, if you've selected anything!

Check whether ur mobo spec-sheet regarding RAM limit.

I guess, Win7-32-bit has a barrier of 4GB limit.
Thats why you're getting like that, i guess.

Hi bro did you check your bios is there any restrictions for ram sticks???

You are most probably using 32bit OS and that's why this memory limitation happened.
