MAX PAYNE1 IN XP

I tried installing MAX PAYNE1 in XP but when i start playing after the introduction part the game stops without giving any error message the control comes to the desktop. I heared same problem from many of my friends. they say MAX PAYNE1 doesnt run on xp. Is it true? if not then how can i run it? by the way MAX PAYNE2 runs in my computer fine

hello friends,

I also had similar problem,when I play Max Payne1 and after the completion of the first level the screen shows the loading for the next part but all of a sudden it comes back to desktop the shows that the windows has discovered a problem with max payne.exe and need to be closed down.

Please help me.My system configurations r Windows XP prof,P iv 2.6 GHz,intel(R)82845G/GL/GE Graphics controller,64 MB Video memory,384 MB RAM.

hi same problem here too. in win 2000 it was ok after i got to Xp sp2.. i get error on the loading screen itself....i think its not compatible with Dx 9.0c or something

u know max payne didn't offically support win xp.try a patch from www.megagames.com

No that's fine... I installed the 1.05 patch.. it works just fine...
