Hello Friends,
My cousin has approached some company to take their franchise. The T&C's have these points-
If x no. of units are sold then share 15%+5%=19.25%
If x no. of units are sold then share 15%+8%=21.something %
If x no. of units are sold then share 15%+10%=23.something%
and so on

Since maths was my number 1 enemy in school. Can you please explain how come 15%+10%=23%?

Thanks

These are not mathematical but commercial calculations which may involve taxes etc.Only whole T&C can clearly explain this but my guess is that some tax is being deducted on the gross total to reach net total or both values are not being calculated on same base(e.g.15% on mrp but 5% on actual sale price so total is not exactly 20%) but I may be wrong also.

100-15%=85%
85*5%= 4.25%
So, 15+4.25%=19.25% and so on
