Right off the assembly line
I have a computer consisting of
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Quad-Core Processor
4 GB of OCZ PC-6400
dual GeForce 8600 GT video cards
on a Foxconn P9657AB-8EKRS2H motherboard.
XP Home 32-bit
I am running three monitors with seperate displays.
The purpose of this machine is for streaming stock quotes and real time charts. I use OptionsXpress.com. Now when I have up charts that are tracking and I want to jump to another chart on one of the screens sometimes my CPU usage jumps up 25% to about 30% of it's capacity according to my task mamager screen. As far as I can tell that is acceptable.
What concerns me is this: Frequently it will feeze up the screen and the CPU usage will spike into the red.
Is there something I can do you eliminate this "lock up"?
