Made up my mind...but...

I've recently made up my mind to buy a Windows Phone 8. I am buying a HTC 8S.
I want a simple phone that works. No Modding, no tweaking, no tinkering. Am tired of doing that on my Android but it just doesn't work.

Anyways, wanted to ask what is the price I should b waiting for for the 8S to drop to. I think 19k is a bit too much for a phone offering very little. Also, should I wait and gather some money for a high end WP8 ?
Like I said, looking for a v basic phone.

For 19k, you can't ask for more. It mayn't have best hardware but compared to 8X, it is serious VFM.

If you want a bit lower price you might wait for the Lumia 620 to release here. Don't they (620 & 8S) have nearly similar hardware ?

Thanks for the replies. I don't like 620 one but. It looks like a toy my 3 year old cousin plays with.
I would any given day pick 8S over 620.

If you can stretch your budget and want to do something new then iPhone 4 would be a good choice

1. dont buy iPhone 4. Its support cycle of 3 years will end soon meaning no updates. If you can get the 4s.
2. The HTC 8S is VFM. Remember though seeing what Microsoft did to WP7 platform I am not sure if this phone will get the next WP update say a year down the line.

I will never buy iPhone. I have just got the Mini and that's the furthest my love for Apple will go.

From what I read and know, WP7 devices weren't supported to because of the kernel change.
And they have promised to support for two years at least, the current WP8 devices.
Also, what do u guys think about the Ativ S. It is cheapest of all and has a bigger screen. But I hate Samsung and that's my problem. Wanted your opinion on Ativ S, NOT Samsung the company.

it'll get updates from 8.x tree which is lot better compared to Android where most mobiles (from HTC) are stuck in Android 4.0 and won't be upgraded to 4.1, forget 4.2.

No I dont...not 20 at least. I was thinking 15k is enough. The HTC Radar launched for 23k and it ended up being 15k. So i think 15 is more than enough for a phone like 8S.

I heard it is 28K. As compared to 8X - 35K and 920- 42!!

+1 Nokia Lumia 620.
REASON 1:
Lumia series is Nokias flagship and nokia has high hopes of WP8 keeping them afloat in the Mobile market.

Reason 2:
Superior build.I have a nokia Asha 311 and a samsung galaxy y.my friends have complimented me a lot on the nokias looks.

Nokia MAPS !!!

Should be priced well.

Reason 5:
Nokia Music is possibly the best thing that happened to nokia.

Yeah, I agree that it looks really plasticky, and childishly bright, but if the pricing is like it's given here then I'll recommend getting it in spite of how it looks. If that pricing is correct, then the 620 is going to be a real blockbuster in India.
