Macbook Pro Keyboard and Trackpad stopped working

It's a MacBook Pro 13 (Early 2015). Mouse and the keyboard don't even work inside the restore menu. However, the computer works perfectly using external keyboard and mouse. It started working on its own one day and then stopped again. Tried resetting both PRAM and SMC. Apple says the logic board is damaged due to dust and would set me back 32k. What should I do?

Keep using it with external keyboard and mouse. Dust doesn't does a damage of that level and even then no respectable company asks 32k to just replace them.

Thank you for your response. Yes, I would have used it with the external peripherals but my brother uses this laptop and he won't.

Can you please help me find a guide or a tutorial that I could link him to? He is a novice and I am a few thousand miles away from him.
