Looking for mobile around 25k

4. Preferred choice of brand? Sony, Samsung, LG, OnePlus
5. What camera option you want (flash, front facing camera)? Most camera options
6. Preferred operating system? (Android, iOS, Windows Phone, etc). Android
7. Preferred connectivity options (3G, 4G ready). 4G VOLTE supported
8. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, internet, gaming etc)? Mixed use (but less of gaming)
9. Any specific mobile phones in consideration? Sony Xperia XA1 Plus, Samsung A5
10. Any other info that you want to share: Minimum 64GB storage is required. If it has separate slot for microSD then it will be preferred. A good battery life is must. I will avoid Chinese phones (except OnePlus to some extent).

I needed min. 64GB so S7 was ruled out.

Bought Xperia XA1 Plus and am loving it (atleast till now).

I think saying XA1 as overpriced just because it has P20 CPU will be wrong. You have to look at overall build as well as overall support and experience to justify its price. I would think this XA1 to be worth 20k if not 24k but definitely not low as 12k.
