Right off the assembly line
Hey, just another run of the mill "find me phone pls" thread.
Cutting straight to the chase, I spend most of my phone time browsing reddit, YouTube, and reading (manga/novels/whatever), so all I'm looking for is a decent size, decent battery life, and quite fast charging time. Having no stutters when reading would be a huge plus. Clumsy-proofing is also a good thing, even though I don't drop my devices that often, I have the worst of luck when I do eventually drop them.
I'm currently torn between the Redmi Note 9s and the Pixel 3a (whichever one I get will probably end up rooted, so MIUI isn't an issue. yay for adaway), the 9s should be faster based on specs, but Google owning Android can make an impact I believe. And the Pixel 3a advertises, though I haven't read many test reviews on that, a really good charge speed.
