Liquid cooling on gtx 1080 founder edition

Hi..i was wondering abt to do liquid cooling on my msi gtx 1080 founder edition..so which things do i need to buy?

would I be voiding the warranty for my graphics card?I'm asking, because one of the screws has a warranty sticker and it is msi product..it is india warranty

- You need to buy GPU water blocks (Very expensive)
- Yeah, You have to remove the shroud which would basically void warranty.

If you want custom water cooling, buy the zotac one which has waterblocks preinstalled.

You have to run the pipes through the blocks and also need to purchase the liquid, pump and reservoir.

Or you can go DIY for all latter 3.

Do keep in mind that water cooling especially a GPU is a high risk low returns avenue. Water cooling is very exciting and from a purely hobbyist perspective very lucrative.

But purely from a performance POV, the few FPS gain you achieve is not much compared to the results obtained on air cooling. (Keep in mind that the only thing water cooling improves is the temperature delta over air cooling, once you reach the temperature plateau under load, it will be almost same as aircooling).

If the only thing you want is performance, sell the 1080 and get a 1080ti. If you are new to overclocking and getting into the enthusiast hobby, get a AIO Liquid cooled card first, Or get a waterblocks liquid cooling kit.

If you want to dabble in DIY, practice on some cheap hardware first. Don't go for the expensive, still-in-warranty stuff.

Yeah...but i want to do liquid cooling(AIO)not water cooling pump stuff ..i went to service center and they said it will affect the warranty...in abroad there is no warranty issue so ppl can do but not here...there r some brands like evga and u can do liquid cooling on that without no problem with warranty but i hv read a bit that blower fans r good as u know push the air directly out the back..custom cards r also good but air go up and down thats why i am asking abt liquid cooling...!!
