Hey Guys, I've searched a lot for good gaming laptop but everything feels too overpriced in India. So i decided to go with a PC Build so i'll have future upgrade possibility. Below is my requirement :

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Main purpose would be programming and video editing with occasional gaming( I mostly game on my xbox one x). Softwares i would use would be - Adobe premiere pro and Oracle database for now.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 1 lakh, Can extend upto 1.3 lakh if it's absolutely worth it.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 10 Pro

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500 GB SSD should be the sweet spot. I have a few external hard disks so HDD is not an issue i can use them for backup and stuff.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes. Colour accuracy is important as i would use this for video editing.
I've seen a 27 inch 4k LG monitor with a price tag of 36k on amazon- 27uk650.
If the above one can't fit in my budget then a 1080p should be fine for now and i'll upgrade later.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: It's completely new build.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: By End of the year.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: No,Will do it by an assembler .

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Hyderabad

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Any leads on cheap pc parts in hyderabad ? I hear most of the stuff can be bought from CTC secunderabad.

I Don't suggest you to get 4k monitor because this GPU is meant for 1080p gaming if you have plan for 4k then get a
Zotac GTX 1080 8GB GDDR5X Mini for 44k instead of Zotac GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5 AMP

I suggest you to get these from MDcomputer

Thanks Minion.
Will Intel build be better ? As i read in couple of other threads that intel build will be better for video editing especially with adobe suite.
I understand it's expensive compared to AMD. But is the extra money worth it in your opinion ?

Thanks Minion and Sunil for the suggestions.
Just a couple of questions :

1. will intel core i5 - 9600k be better as the difference is only 2 to 3k ?
2. Also, Any idea on the 20 series graphic cards ?
I see that 2070 is around 52k. If it's worth it i'll build the PC this month and buy graphics card later in a couple of months.
If i later need to upgrade the graphics card, would i need to change the motherboard or any other components ?

Just wanted to make sure the PC doesn't get outdated in a few months :p

Intel Core i5 9600K processor review

2)No,GTX 1080 perform similar to 2070 while being cheaper

If you are planning to game then get a GTX 1080 for 44k

Thanks Guys, i decided to go with i5-8600 and GTX1060 for now,

So Finally i'm thinking of going with the below config, almost same as mentioned by sunil
All the prices i mentioned below are from Amazon, will go to local stores as well once and check:

Processor -Intel Core i5 8600 -23,520
Motherboard -Asrock Z370 Gaming K6 - 18000
Graphics Card -Zotac Amp Edition GeForce GTX 1060 6GB DDR5 - 25899
RAM -Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000Mhz 16GB -11,445
SSD -Samsung 860 EVO 500GB M.2 SSD -9,368
Power Supply -Antec Earthwatts Gold Pro 550w -5,999
Cabinet -Antec P8 Black -5,470
Monitor -BenQ 27 inch LED IPS EW2775ZH -16,301
UPS -APC BX1100C-IN 1100VA 230V - 6049

Total - 122069

Just a Quick question - Does the stock heat sink that comes with the processor sufficient or should i buy a separate one ?
Also, i'm thinking of just buying all the parts except 1060 first and then add the graphics card later. So i can see if my budget allows i can go for 1080 instead.
Any changes to the above config ?
