i need laptop for simulation and mid level gaming.
apart from price which one should be preferred.

Dude both of your facts are wrong.
First samsung offers you pick and drop warranty and offers a good product at a good price.
Secondly lenovo y500 was having touch pad issues but now lenovo has recognised the problem and is now rectifying it. I guess that now lenovo y500 is being shipped with synaptic touch pad.
