A: Basic work & sometimes watching movies/videos, portable, LONG BATTERY RUN-TIME(5+hrs) is must.

A: 30 to 35 Max (37K if more good features+battery life)

A: 500 GB (320 GB would be last option)

Strictly speaking you won't get a +5hr battery backup on laptop while movie watching. Go for a netbook with smaller screens. Or why not buy an additional battery? Would be the best option

5 hr+ On Laptop is barely possible (as per your budget) - Though It completely depends on the applications you are running on your Lappy and some other factors

I have Dell Inspiron 15R with 9 Cell Battery and maximum I got is around 4 hours of backup

9 or more cell battery is a must for you if you want long backup
